Partner with the Brand, Trade and Product Marketing teams to identify and evaluate new product offerings and merchandising plans. Utilize Category Management and Fact-Based Selling concepts to uncover the whitespace opportunities. Build and deliver retailer specific presentations for line reviews, programs, mid-season updates, etc.
that align with Spectrum Brands mission and vision. Lead development of annual quotas and profit plan by partnering with the Sales Finance and Marketing teams. Create sales action plans; monitor actual results vs.
plan throughout the year, adjusting and adapting as needed to maximize topline sales and bottom-line profitability. Collaborate with Demand Planners to assist with accurate and timely forecasts to ensure on-time delivery and flow through. Build and closely manage relationships with customers at the buyer level and beyond to create or enhance the partnership.
Provide the team lead with regular updates of total POS performance vs. prior year same period, identifying sales trends and opportunities. Pricing and Promotion-30% Own the P&L by developing pricing and programs that will achieve the customer goals and maximize Spectrum Brands financial metrics.
Develop the annual Omni-Channel promotional plan to maximize sales opportunities by having the right product, in the right quantity, at the right time. Use data insights / analysis (AC Nielsen, Comp market data, Store Level POS, etc.) to assist in the coordination of promotional plans. Integrate national promotional plans (FSI's, IRC's, etc.) into the analysis as applicable.
Coordinate with Sales Finance, Marketing and Sales Management to align with brand strategies and advertising plans as appropriate. Analyze the performance of all promotions to weigh success. An equivalent combination of: Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline preferred.
5 years in retail field sales and direct account responsibility. A minimum of 2-4 years' work experience in Club channel. Robust analytical skills: ability to learn and use syndicated data to forecast trends and projections.
Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the corporate and customer organizations. Collaborative approach to accomplishing goals. Customer and consumer focused.
Solid tactical and strategic abilities; ability to manage multiple tasks. High level of organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong PC skills (spreadsheet, word processing, presentations).
Approximately 10% travel required. Working conditions are normal for a home-based office sales environment. Occasional exposure to weather when traveling.
