POSITION SUMMARY:

Manage all Eco-2Fum activity in plant. Maintains safety on each project in accordance with approved safety rules and regulations. Apply pesticides to structures/trailers and tents according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions. The Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse Forklift Operator (stand-up/sit-down) is a public safety and security conscious individual that operates industrial trucks such as a forklift and has the ability to, or knowledge of using scissor lift, Yard Dogs, electronic pallet jack, and boom lifts. Responsible for accurately collecting data, assuring proper authorization, and maintaining records for outbound delivery and incoming/outgoing loads. Responsible for all Quality procedures including HACCP and GMP's and ensuring proper receiving of product. As needed shell bins will be dumped into shell trucks

Safety Ability: Promote a "safety first" culture by following all safety rules (including Lockout/Tag out, Confined Space, Fall Protection and Hazard Communication). Report all near misses, Injuries, and documentation of incidents to Shift Supervisor/Production Supervisor/Leads

Quality Ability: Perform all duties in accordance with Quality and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) established company policies and procedures.

Continuous Improvement: Responsible for Active participation in continuous improvement teams and processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Possess a valid Qualified Applicator License (QAL).
• Apply or oversee the application of federally restricted use pesticides or state restricted materials for any purpose or on any property other than that provided by the definition of private applicator.
• Oversee the pesticide applications made by a licensed pest control business and are responsible for its safe and legal operation.
• Coordinate and/or oversee any fumigations/fogging's in establishments such as sorting rooms, food methods, or devices to control pests in manufacturing and processing building, warehouses, roasting and RTE areas, etc.
• Oversee any stored commodity fumigations at facilities or on trucks, vans.
• Coordinate proper storage, use, handling, and disposal of pesticides and container.
• Enter all eco2fum usage on excel spread sheet on monthly basis.
• Review all fumigations and fogging sheets for proper documentation, sign and turn into QC manager and or director at end of every month.
• Apply for yearly County fumigation permit.
• Must be Certified Fit tested and maintain certification.
• Track flier activity send recommendations for fogging and work with Warehouse, Processing and scheduling teams on when and what fogging agent to apply.
• Train and or cross train in applying fogging agents and fumigation gas.
• Certified to wear self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).
• Perform monthly audits to ensure label requirements are being followed when fogging and fumigating.
• Perform fumigation on WIP/FG product sitting in ambient temperature longer than 30 days.
• Send aged WIP report to department manager/director every Monday.
• Ensure all export loads are fumigated on time based on shipping schedule.
• Coordinate with warehouse supervisors on making sure export loads are out of fumigation and aired out minimum of 24 hours prior to shipping.
• Ensure loads are pre-stage ready for shipment for following day.
• Confirm empty trailers are backed up to loading dock 10, ready for Raber building to use.
• Coordinate and work closely with Raber building/building 7 supervisors to identify export loads being packed for the week.

• Observe safety, mechanical, and quality issues & report them to a supervisor or manager immediately.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate documentation for fumigation, fogging and shipping, receiving, and warehouse.
• Inquire if chemicals will be brought onto premises, if so, then complete appropriate SDS paperwork.
• Prepare a variety of documents and reports as directed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maintain all records and files related to job responsibilities in an organized manner.
• Maintain work area and fumigation/fogging equipment in a safe and clean condition at all times.
• Dump shell bins into shell trucks when you have time.
• Keep the shell dump area clean and free from debris.
• Will be required to work overtime and weekends during emergency conditions and based on business needs.
• Receive all small/large purchase receipts into X3 and print tags when needed.
• Assist shipping, Receiving and Warehouse with all duties when needed.
• Perform other job duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor or management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Experience: Two to four years security related experience a plus; Bi-lingual required (English/Spanish).

Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; strong data entry skills.

Certificates & Licenses: Must be Certified Fit tested. Qualified Applicator License (QAL).

Security or police academy certifications a plus. Must be forklift certified (standup/sit-down) or able to obtain a fork lift certification.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception. Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as designated by the company.

Sixty percent (60%) of work will be performed in a small office environment. Thirty-five percent (35%) of work will be performed outdoors. Five percent (5%) of duties may include being inside the plant manufacturing environment which may include high levels of noise. Working in outdoor conditions can include extreme cold, heat, or humidity; and sometimes can include work in dusty or muddy work conditions.
