Pest Control Technician Apprentice

Island Environmental in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Pest Control Technician Apprentice who enjoys diagnosing and resolving a variety of pest, termite, and rodent problems to protect our customers’ property. Our ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for helping customers, understands the importance of using environmentally responsible pest and termite treatments, and wants to expand their knowledge in our industry.
This position pays $16.00 - $18.00 per hour with additional quarterly team bonuses.
Experience is not required; if you are motivated, hardworking, and willing to learn we will teach you the skills you need to excel in this role and transition into a Technician.

What You'll Do:

• Always maintain a safe working environment and follow all safety protocols.
• Determining the kind of treatment required to eliminate a particular type of pest.
• Advising customers on the kind of treatment required to eliminate identified pests.
• Inspecting customers’ premises to identify pest problems.
• Filling out all necessary paperwork upon completion of each job.
• Communicating with office staff to schedule services with customers.
• Applying suitable pesticides to infested areas by following the label instructions and complying with safety procedures.
• Responding to customers’ requests for various Pest Control services.
• Identifying opportunities to sell additional company services and products.
• Adjusting chemical mixtures according to the size of the infested areas.
• Keeping the trucks clean and completing a truck report on a weekly basis.

What We Need from You:

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, with or without any accommodation.
• Flexibility to work Saturday hours on an as-needed basis to meet production goals.
