Personnel Security Specialist

Ning Solutions, Inc is actively bidding for a Personnel Security Specialist with a government agency. This will be a Hybrid position. Positions availability is contingent upon award.

• The contractor shall develop, document, and implement procedures for major aspects of the Personnel Security program, such as position designation and sensitivity levels, issues and adjudication guidance, initial investigation, or re-investigation requirements.
• Assist in conducting preliminary and final reviews of statements of personal history and related data prior to initiation of background investigation procedures.
• Process background investigations of individuals who would occupy positions where a determination of suitability for employment is required.
• Initiate background investigations and reinvestigations using DCSA’s systems.
• Process security actions for fingerprints and background checks.
• Work assignments may include but are not limited to: review Personnel Security Questionnaires, verify information submitted on applications contact subjects via approved methods to complete information on background investigation forms
• Develop, administration, operations, and/or analytical duties to determine employment suitability of employees, contractors, and applicants.
• Ensure all functions are completed accurately, correctly, in a timely fashion, and perform duties related to Personnel Security.
• Develop and maintain plans, outlining steps and timetables for developing projects, programs, and deliverables.

The contractor shall possess the following skills:

• The knowledge of Personnel Security, human resources, financial, administrative and/or project responsibilities.
• The Personnel Security Specialist must possess written and verbal communications skills to function professionally in a high-level executive environment.
• The knowledge of administering a federal Personnel Security program to include complying with federal law, regulations, procedures, practices, or policies related to Personnel Security, suitability, and background investigations; working with investigation forms, investigative organizations, and individuals being investigated; reviewing and adjudicating investigation results and making recommendations regarding the suitability of individuals for federal employment; working with managers, employees, and human resources specialists to resolve a wide variety of suitability issues.
• The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Demonstrate attention to detail, and good organizational skills are required.

The contractor must possess the following experience:

• Experience processing pre-employment security background checks and/or investigation paperwork.
• 3-5 years of experience in Personnel Security processing background investigations, reinvestigations
• Tier 5/Top Secret clearance is required and experience with DCSA’s systems (i.e.,NBIS, eQIP, NP2 Portal, etc)

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $60,317.07 - $72,639.92 per year
