Job Description:
As an Independent Contractor Personal Trainer at Palo Alto Fit, you will be responsible for providing one-on-one personal training sessions to our clients at our location. You will design customized fitness programs, guide clients through exercises to prevent injuries and maximize effectiveness and motivate them to achieve their health and fitness goals. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our clients' overall wellness and ensuring they receive the highest quality of service.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct fitness assessments to establish client fitness levels and develop personalized workout plans.
- Provide one-on-one personal training sessions tailored to individual goals, needs, and abilities.
- Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and assist clients in adjusting form to prevent injuries.
- Monitor and track client progress through regular assessments, adjusting training programs as necessary.
- Provide nutritional advice and motivational support to clients.
- Ensure clients follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and safe training environment.
- Foster a positive, professional, and friendly rapport with clients to build strong, long-lasting relationships.
- Stay updated on the latest fitness trends, research, and certifications to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Fitness, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience as a fitness trainer.
- Certified Personal Trainer with a recognized certification (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM).
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire clients.
- Strong understanding of fitness and nutritional principles.
- Flexibility to work with clients' schedules.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of intense physical exertion, including running, lifting, and stretching.
- Must be able to lift more than 75 pounds at times.
Note: As an independent contractor, you will work autonomously and be responsible for managing your schedule. You’ll be paid for client sessions and are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and equipment. This position is not eligible for employee benefits.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 35 per week
