Areas of instruction include employment education, vocational/technical, and personal financial management disciplines.

Develops curriculum by identifying competencies and develops a means of assessing students meeting the competencies, establish prioritized goal and objectives, develop instructional materials which meet the needs of diverse learners, and collaborate with other instructors and industry representatives to ensure relevance in programming. Identifies resources, equipment and facility needs, and operational planning priorities. Assist in the scheduling of classes to meet the learning needs of students and instructional demands of the program.

Plans for instruction. Delivers, assesses and redesigns effective curriculum and instruction which meets the needs of diverse students in technical diploma, associate degree, graduate and under graduate education, basic education, career/employment and personal financial management. Adapt instructional strategies to meet student needs and utilize technology and varied media as appropriate.

Assesses student learning. Conduct an ongoing program of student assessment work with other program/general education instructors to ensure student assessment work with other program/general education instructors to ensure student achievement and effectiveness of instruction. Documents student performance over time.

Use assessment data to improve course and program delivery. Maintain the standards of achievement that are necessary in meeting the demands of occupations, education opportunities, technical training, or personal financial management for which students are being prepared. Manages the classroom effectively.

Follows the assigned schedule, provides students with course syllabus, establish a safe and respectful learning environment, maintains accurate student attendance and achievement records, and ensure opportunities for students participations, collaboration with peers, and course/faculty evaluation. Assists with Course/Program Evaluation and continuous improvement. Provides data for formal and information program evaluations, conduct student evaluations, modify the curriculum as indicated by evaluations and assist in industry surveys.

Prepares reports and budgets for the person and PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT programs. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner.

Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services.

Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards.

Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.

Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Education or a related field appropriate to the work of position AND three years of experience in the occupation, or a related field or work area, OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above. The ability to evaluate, plan and implement training systems.

Skilled in program design implementation and management. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to plan, organize, instruct and facilitate educational courses of quality.

Teaching or training experience. Experience in education, career and personal financial management development strategies for diverse higher education populations. Demonstrated success in cultivating collaborative relationships with clients, unit leadership, and professional colleagues.

Understanding and use of current education practices in instruction. Ability to organize activities and coordinate groups of people. Ability to relate to a diverse student population.

Ability to communicate effectively (writing, listening, speaking). Ability to work independently and follow-through on assigned tasks. Knowledge in human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests, learning and motivation.

Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships using tact, diplomacy, and overall professionalism. Must be able to operate a persona computer, printer, etc., and have current knowledge in various office computer programs and software applications. Ability to collect, evaluate, and disseminate information; assess and measure organizations and other serviced populations trends, concerns, and needs; assign in identifying and prioritizing goals.
