```Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to join our team. As a Care Worker, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or other care needs. Your role will involve providing direct care, promoting resident rights, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.
Duties:
- Provide direct support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications according to prescribed instructions
- Monitor and document changes in residents' physical and mental health
- Implement behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized living environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
- Lift and move heavy objects or individuals as required
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques is a plus
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic
