Job Description
Cross Country Workforce Solutions Group (CCWSG) is hiring Personal Care Assistant (PCA) candidates to be considered for a Float Pool registry with a geriatric PACE facility located in Echo Park, Los Angeles, CA.
The PCA will help provide the facility with staffing needs for any call offs, paid time off, or understaffed teams.
Personal Care Attendant (CNA) – FLOAT POOL
Expectations for this Role
- Supports participants with activities of daily living in the clinic and center, and occasionally the home. Support may include escorting, toileting, bathing, grooming, laundry and assistance with meals
- Assists participants with entering and exiting transportation vehicles and acting as a medical escort when instructed
- Escorts participants to offsite medical appointments
- Conducts daily physical activities in assisting frail elders in ergonomic manner to avoid injury
- Assists with food service delivery and monitoring during mealtimes
- Support participants during mealtime by ensuring participants receive the correct meals and aiding participants in feeding as needed
- Maintains Personal Care supplies such as incontinence supplies and personal grooming items
- Carries out orders from the interdisciplinary team regarding Personal Care services and/or monitoring of participant status
- Communicates effectively to participants, families, staff and other agencies
Attributes of an Ideal Candidate
- Passion and mission orientation for serving high-risk seniors and frail older adults
- Experience as a Personal Care attendant or certified nursing assistant
- Experience with the frail and elderly population
- CPR and First Aid certification (within 60 days of employment)
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred
- Flexibility to perform role in the home on an as needed basis
- Bilingual preferred
