UW Credit Union is looking for Spanish Bilingual Personal Bankers (Financial Specialists) in Madison! Earn base pay plus a $1.25 per hour Spanish Bilingual premium.
As a Financial Specialist, you'll play a key role in keeping UWCU members satisfied. Following the 'Members for Life philosophy,' your goal is to build and maintain relationships, understand members' needs, offer financial education, and make recommendations to help them achieve their financial goals.

What You’ll Do
- Meet specific goals for product sales and referrals to achieve balanced scorecard results.
- Build and nurture member relationships by acquiring and developing them.
- Analyze member needs, provide financial education, and suggest suitable financial products and services.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all credit union products and services.
- Actively engage in 'courtesy calling' and 'new account follow-up activities' for members.
- Demonstrate flexibility in developing and expanding member relationships.
- Utilize networking skills to enhance member connections.
- Contribute to activities that foster individual and organizational success.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness of all loan applications, accounts, and member transactions.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
These skills and experiences are essential to your success:
- 1-2 years of direct retail sales experience
- Demonstrated analytical, accuracy and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency with personal computer and office software
- Desired, but not required: knowledge of new accounts, and consumer lending
These attributes and knowledge are desired but not required:
- 1-2 years of experience working in a financial institution or in a retail leadership role
- Knowledge of new accounts, savings instruments, and consumer lending
This training class is anticipated to start on April 15th:
- Virtual, classroom and branch training for the first 12-weeks
- On the job training at a Madison area branch location (determined by your start date)
- 3 hours a week dedicated to studying to pass the Credit Life Credit Disability (CLCD) Exam
