Job Description
Prioris has an exciting and immediate opportunity for an experienced Personal Automobile Claims Manager to oversee a department of Personal Automobile claims specialists. The Prioris Claims Manager will be responsible to ensure efficient handling of auto liability and casualty claims. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the guidance and direction of their team members, depending on the complexity of the claims and the ability of each claim specialist. The ideal candidate must maintain a valid/current Adjuster license in the state of Texas.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years of claims management experience in the Personal Automobile insurance industry.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience handling Collision, Comprehensive, and Property Damage coverage features.
- Current and valid Texas Property and Casualty Adjuster license.
- Excellent oral and written communication and keyboarding skills while interacting with both internal and external customers.
- Successful and effective negotiating skills.
- General understanding of overall claims adjudication.
- Ability to speak professionally and fluently in Spanish is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities:
Claims Processing
- Manage and oversee the end-to-end claims process, from the time the claim is assigned to a claim specialist to the resolution of the claim.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of claims by reviewing files on a 3-10-30 day basis.
Team Management
- Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement improvement strategies.
Customer Service
- Address customer inquiries and concerns regarding claims status and processes.
- Work to enhance the overall customer experience during the claims process.
Documentation and Reporting
- Review and provide file direction and authority when appropriate.
- Analyze and distribute management reports to team members as they are provided on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Provide insights into claims trends, performance metrics, and key indicators (KPIs).
Negotiations and Settlements
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and or their representatives, ensuring fair and equitable resolutions.
- Collaborate with the senior management team to handle complex claims and potential legal disputes.
Quality Assurance
- Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and consistency in claims processing.
- Conduct quarterly review summits of older claim files to assure action plans or implemented and to identify areas of improvement.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficiency measures.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance claims management processes.
