We are hiring a local permitting specialist with experience in permitting Fiber / Coax Telecommunications Construction / Underground Construction
Salary: $52,000 - $62,000 a year
Location: Rogers, MN
Job Outline:
The Permit Specialist is responsible for the obtainment of city, county, or municipality permits. This position is responsible for issuing and coordinating permits for the desired construction phase(s) and requirements. To determine whether permits should be obtained, the Permit Specialist will perform a variety of tasks including researching, analyzing, interpreting, and applying residential and commercial construction laws, ordinances, regulations, and mandates. The position will work with owners, officials, contractors, designers, etc. to explain and coordinate the appropriate documentation necessary for permitting. Requirements:
- Obtain necessary permits for construction completion while coordinating with external and internal resources.
- Develop and maintain accurate and complete files for construction permits; continue to monitor for integrity and completeness until the construction process is complete.
- Create and distribute correspondence relevant to the project management team.
- Update necessary spreadsheets/tracking systems.
- Assist with administrative tasks.
- Provide reports as requested.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Preferred Experience:
Associate’s degree in building construction, engineering, architecture, or similar and four years of technician-level experience in an architectural, construction, engineering, or related technical field.
