Job description

Our well-established periodontal practice in Chelmsford, MA, is seeking a friendly, talented, team- and detail-oriented periodontist to join our team at least three days a week.

Join North Street Periodontics as a skilled Periodontist, providing exceptional care and expertise in diagnosing and treating periodontal diseases. As an integral part of our team, you'll lead in the treatment of periodontal diseases, perform surgical procedures like dental implants and soft tissue grafts, and collaborate with our dental professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a DMD or DDS degree,has completed a periodontics residency, and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in patient care, innovation, and continuous learning. Patient Care Responsibilities

Direct Patient Care Management:

  • Perform thorough examinations, assessments, and accurate diagnoses for a specific patient base, offering tailored treatments for various periodontal conditions.

Patient Care Coordination:

  • Supervise and coordinate patient care activities, providing guidance to dental technical and support staff for cohesive treatment delivery.

Compliance and Standards Adherence:

  • Ensure adherence to established departmental policies, procedures, quality improvement objectives, and safety standards, including environmental and infection control protocols.

Health Promotion Participation:

  • Engage, as relevant, in health promotion, educational initiatives, and preventive programs specific to periodontal health.

Miscellaneous Duties:

  • Fulfill any other job-related tasks assigned to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective practice management.

Cultivating Collaborative Environments:

  • Ability to foster a cooperative and supportive environment among the dental team and other healthcare professionals.

Maintaining Quality and Safety Standards:

  • Proficiency in maintaining high-quality standards and strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols within periodontal practice.

Independence and Teamwork:

  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, fostering a harmonious and productive work environment.

Supervisory and Training Skills:

  • Proficient in supervising, training, and organizing staff, including prioritizing and scheduling work assignments efficiently.

Understanding Accreditation and Certification:

  • Knowledge of accreditation and certification requirements specific to periodontology practice.

Community Health Awareness:

  • Familiarity with local medical diagnostic services and patient care resources relevant to periodontal expertise.

Up-to-date Expertise in Periodontal Practices:

  • Acquaintance with the latest principles, methods, and procedures for delivering evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments within the field of periodontology.

Effective Communication Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills essential for patient interactions and professional correspondence within the dental practice.

Adherence to Ethical and Legal Standards:

  • Understanding and compliance with the legal and ethical standards for delivering surgical dental care.

Observation, Assessment, and Prescription Proficiency:

  • Ability to keenly observe, assess, and document symptoms, reactions, and treatment progress, along with expertise in prescribing appropriate dosages and instructing patients on correct usage of relevant medications and care aids.
