Summary

We are actively recruiting a seasoned Leader for our Performance Improvement Teams.  The Team Leader's primary responsibility is to provide direction/leadership to the Performance Improvement Team (PIT) and facility management to allow for initiative-taking identification and resolution of performance gaps and opportunities. They will directly support the Plant Operations Teams in improving facility performance in Associate safety, food safety, yields, food safety and quality, labor efficiencies, packaging use/waste, M&R expenses, and schedule attainment. The Team Leader ensures implemented changes, and associated improvements are tangible, relevant, and sustainable.

 

This position will be remote but will require travel to HQ and facilities as requested.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements systems and programs that deliver transformation performance improvements through analysis, influence, leadership, and effort, ensuring the Plant is left with the tools to win.
  • Develops innovative and proven plans, actions and Best Practices that provide the Plant with improved Associate safety, food safety, product quality, and financial performance trends.
  • Assists the Plant in developing the tools to improve the supervisory skills of the local leadership Team, and the hourly Associates to improve their skill sets that allow the Plant to achieve and sustain improved results over time.
  • Supports and promotes the Company’s Values, Goals and Objectives as they relate to properly achieving improved results in all 4 P’s, People, Products, Planet and Profitability.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Management, or similar, with an emphasis on Agriculture or a related discipline.

 

The ideal candidate must also have:

  • At least 10 years of related work experience.
  • Ability to travel to other facilities 50% of their time.
  • A proven history of leading Teams towards achievement of transformational results.
  • A detailed understanding of live production, fresh and prepared plant operations.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • Proven history of collaboration amongst teams and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to
    • Work tactically and think strategically.
    • Organize multiple projects and deliver on time.
    • Analyze and develops solutions for complex problems. 

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

1. Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. 2. When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
