Overview
Get ready to operate at hyperscale!
We are building new systems to optimize the millions of server nodes underlying the Microsoft Azure cloud. You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team chartered to understand and improve how hardware and software ingredients come together to form our Azure VM products. Our work includes optimizing fleet performance, competitive comparisons, developing tools that leverage AI for anomaly detection, and providing input to hardware selection.
As a Performance Engineer in this role, you will work on detecting and addressing performance issues and help root cause potential opportunities for improvement. You will find opportunities for improvements through internal testing as well as by working directly with Azure customers to understand their use cases. You will collaborate with various Microsoft teams and vendors to deliver performance optimizations for our customers. This opportunity will allow you to learn intricate details about how Azure works, what impacts performance when various hardware and software components come together, how to create tests that can highlight both performance benefits and opportunities for improvement. In this role, you will actively collaborate with and learn from cloud, workloads, and hardware experts. This is a hybrid work opportunity, and you have the option to work from home.
