JOB TITLE: Performance and Quality Improvement Specialist
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time; 40 hours/week
SCHEDULED HOURS: M-F 8:00AM-4:30PM

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
Leads performance, process and Quality Improvement efforts directed at continually improving care and service and advancing evidence-based practices across the organization.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Leads Performance and Quality Improvement initiatives using varied Performance and process improvement methodologies and strategies based upon the project or initiative
  • Acts as a change agent to promote organizational improvements and helps to support a culture of continuous Quality Improvement
  • Implements highly reliable, consistent and standardized processes with outcomes that are measurable and sustained
  • Effectively facilitates workgroups, managing and supporting teams through change efforts
  • Works collaboratively across departments and with staff and managers at all levels to assess outcomes, identify opportunities for improvement and improve performance
  • Works collaboratively with members of the Executive Team
  • Effectively documents and analyzes current workflows and redesigns to improve processes and outcomes, and translates workflows into standard operating procedures for teams
  • Acts as an internal consultant to coach, mentor and teach others in project management, lean and continuous improvement
  • Analyzes data through various analytical tools
  • Summarizes outcomes and presents findings, improvements, and ideas in a concise way, including through development of key performance measures and dashboards
  • Tracks progress for Performance and Quality Improvement initiatives to ensure improvements are realized and maintained.
  • Design and deliver training on agency Quality Improvement processes

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: General Experience: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, health sciences, business administration, industrial engineering, statistics or a closely related field and 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role. Master's degree in a required field may be substituted for 1 year of general experience. Experience in health care settings, behavioral health field preferred. CPHQ, Lean / Six Sigma and Project Management experience preferred.
Experience:
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification with experience in continuous improvement methods
  • Experience with group and leadership facilitation required
  • Experience in community-based behavioral health or equivalent healthcare experience in an ambulatory practice setting
  • Experience in leading large-scale organizational Performance and process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with program development and implementation
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills with ability to write and present for a variety of audiences
  • Effective team builder with interpersonal skills to support dynamic work teams and communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals
  • Experience providing training, coaching and mentoring to others
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated, highly-developed organizational skills
  • Strong problem solving abilities
  • Demonstrated experience executing Performance and Quality Improvement projects using traditional methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, TQM, PDSA) with evidence of results
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Vizio, and PowerPoint skills.

COMPENSATION*:
$70,581/annually min to $105,871/annually max, dependent upon experience
*Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based on relevant experience, as well as, adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign-on incentives. (Please note, for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
