Job Title: Per Diem Nurse Practitioner-Oncology-Mount Sinai Hospital- Days

A Registered Nurse Practitioner engaged to work on an as-needed basis for patient care delivery.


Responsibilities
  • Provides clinical patient care to all assigned patients on an as-needed basis.
  • Maintains BCLS/ACLS Certification and annual program requirements, for renewal, the nurse practitioner participates in classes offered by Nursing Education.
  • Possesses the required competence in the area of assignment within the guidelines of the position description.
  • Completes the necessary orientation program as coordinated by Nursing Education prior to engagement. Complies with all institutional regulations as would a full-time employee.
  • Maintains telephone accessibility for control of assignment. Notifies the unit or care center office of any changes in contact information.
  • Submits a letter of resignation at least two weeks ahead of effective date.

Master's degree program designed to prepare a registered nurse to provide acute/primary health care services or the successful completion of an approved supplemental education program, i.e., post-Masters NP certificate.

Relevant clinical nursing experience

Licensing and Certification Requirements (if applicable)

         Name: RN License Agency: DOH / Office of Professions

         Name: CNP License Agency: DOH / Office of Professions

         Name: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Agency: AHA

         Certification: ACLS (in ED; PACU/ASU; ICUs; Telemetry Units; SDU; IR, Interventional Cardiology (CCL/EP/Echo); L&D; Endoscopy, and APN Adult Oncology

         Certification: NRP (Labor and Delivery, NICU depts)

         Certification: PALS (in ED; PACU; IR; Peds ICU, and APNs Pediatric Oncology depts.)

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $83.3012 - $88.2993 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
