SalaryIVIRMA is seeking a per-diem Medical Assistant (MA) to join our growing team at our Houston location. This individual will assist with all aspects of patient care including; accurately recording medical history, activating patient files, and providing support to patients. We are looking for someone that can cover shifts from 7am to 3pm as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine patient assessments such as: vital signs, blood pressure, height/weight, specimen collection/processing and record keeping of patient charts
- Phlebotomy-drawing blood on patients
- Assist with office procedures (i.e. ultrasounds & inseminations)
- Stocking supplies and ordering clinical supplies as needed
- Follow Disinfection and Sterilization guidelines for Healthcare Equipment and Healthcare Facilities
- Adheres to Patient Confidentiality Policies, OSHA and HIPAA regulations
Requirements:
- Medical Assistant diploma or certification - required
- Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook and Excel - required
- Flexibility to work weekdays with weekends and rotational holidays - preferred
- Minimum 1-3 years' experience in a clinical setting - preferred
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience - preferred
- Women’s Healthcare background - preferred
- Must have strong organization and time management skills
- Travel to local satellite offices as needed
