People Services Translator

Join our People Services Team as a Translator!  This individual will be responsible for listening to, understanding, and translating verbal or written statements between English and Spanish-Speaking Associates.  Must have excellent verbal communication skills, computer proficiency (including Microsoft Office applications), and the ability to interact professionally and respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a translator for daily communications between Associates and People Services representative and/or supervisors (e.g., individual/team meetings, coaching, disciplinary action, safety intervention, medical, etc.)
• Help with hands on training to prepare new Associates for life on the production floor
• Maintain strict confidentiality when involved in interpretation of situations that require sensitivity or discretion
• When translation services are not needed by People Services this role will serve as a back up to Transmission Production.
• Other duties as requested by People Services Manager

Key Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Fluent in English and Spanish
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented
• Computer skills:  Microsoft Word (proficient), Microsoft Excel (basic)

• Starting Hourly Pay: $18.25/hour
