The People Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in making sure the recruiting and administrative pieces of the employment experience at McDonald Companies are completed in an efficient, accurate, and employee-centric manner. This role is a balance of performing day-to-day work, while also collaborating with others on the team and business units on process optimization. The person in this role will establish themselves as a go-to resource for employees for information on best practice, process, and policy. They will also act with integrity as it relates to employee data, reporting, and record keeping.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Promote a supportive, cooperative, and inclusive environment with all internal and external customers
- Support the recruitment/hiring process by posting ads for open positions, utilizing ATS, sourcing candidates, setting up interviews for candidates with hiring managers
- Manage the new hire pre-employment experience and the onboarding orientation process in accordance with state, federal and company standards.
- Ensure timely compliance of all new hire documentation including Form I-9 completion and other compliance requirements such as policy acknowledgement completion, employee file and record maintenance and other administrative responsibilities
- Review and maintain proper file maintenance and record keeping
- Interface and collaborate with others to ensure accuracy of all information, provide solutions, and achieve shared goals
- Provide ideas and perspectives for changes to the current processes
- Assists with processing of terminations in all areas (HRIS, Insurance, 401K)
- Audit information flagging discrepancies and identifying a plan to correct errors and prevent them in the future
- Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Works with employee engagement teams setting up social and volunteering events
- 15% travel to off-site and out of state locations is required.
- Collaborate on new HR initiatives
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Degree in Human Resource or related field or 1+ year experience in similar role.
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer services skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
