Overview

The Western Computer team is looking for a People Director to bring our HR/People/Culture strategy to life. As the leader of the People Team, you will be instrumental in defining and implementing our HR structure and processes. You will be charged with driving initiatives around recruitment, engagement, performance, and retention and partner closely with our executive team to ensure our HR vision aligns to overall company vision. What you'll do

Lead the People Team

  • Recruit, train, and coach a highly functioning, successful HR team that attracts top performers.
  • Complete performance evaluations for people/HR team.
  • Ensure the people/HR team structure is optimal for business needs.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Assist departments with understanding resource needs and managing hiring processes for open roles.
  • Partner with departments to improve interview strategies
  • Implement targeted recruitment strategies to ensure a robust and diverse applicant pool for all openings.
  • Adopt recruitment systems and tools to track recruitment metrics.
  • Assist departments with creating onboarding and training programs for new hires.

Engagement, Performance, & Development

  • Own the employee engagement survey and analyze results. Understand the team's needs and ensure Western is creating a great place to work.
  • Lead performance process, including annual performance evaluations, career discussions and manager training
  • Lead career path succession planning efforts to create a pipeline of leaders for future growth and opportunities.

HR Processes

  • Maintain and enhance Western's HR policies and procedures, ensuring clear communication to employees and maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Oversee benefit and compensation planning to ensure cost efficiencies and attractiveness to retain top talent
  • Facilitate all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including new-hire onboarding, offboarding, benefits enrollments, leave of absences, and general employee support

What you'll bring

  • BA/BS degree
  • 7+ years of experience in Human Resources / People Operations with prior experience in a manager or director role with a Human Resources/People organization
  • Prior experience in rolling out company-wide people policy changes and designing performance management models is preferred
  • Prior experience in a service-based company is preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations across multiple states
  • Deep expertise in benefits administration and HR systems (Trinet is a plus)
  • Desire to build employee-centered programs
  • Strong communication and change management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a small, growing, fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Rigorous organization, detail orientation, and accountability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Masters degree, PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a bonus.
