Job description

1.Provides Integrated and/or classroom PSR/Clubhouse services daily, as described by standards.
2.Documents services abiding to Life Link policies and procedures.
3.Reviews and validates information for Life Link clients, programs, and service providers to facilitate accessibility and appropriateness of services.
4.Maintains communication with the CSW and treatment teams regarding resources and needs of mutual clients.
5.Maintains communication with other service providers that serve as resources for clients or referrals.
6.Attends staff meetings to discuss client progress and resolves problems at client job sites, etc.
7.Acts as an advocate for clients and ensures that their human and legal rights are preserved and respected. Promotes a positive, productive image for persons with psychiatric disabilities.
8.Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1.Staff engage members through encouragement, appreciation for their help, and a focus on abilities, while allowing for and accepting limitations.
2.Staff actively promote the development of members' aspirations regarding Clubhouse participation, employment, education, housing, and social involvements. Staff and members together formulate plans for progressing toward these goals.
3.Staff respond to needs and problems of members with practical guidance and advice geared toward realizing aspirations, cooperation with others, and circumventing the effects of mental illness and social maladjustment.
4.Staff manage and participate with members in Clubhouse programs providing opportunities for social and recreational activities.
5.Staff engage cooperatively with other staff and members in developing Clubhouse policies and in advancing the purposes and welfare of the Clubhouse.
6.Staff transmit to members a vision of their potential that is not restricted by disability but is based on needs and aspirations common to all people. This vision is balanced by an understanding, acceptance, empathy, and support regarding the limitations, impediments, and suffering of the disability.
7.The communal setting entails working in groups where staff share responsibilities with members enabling the raising of expectations to permeate the group and members to lead in encouraging and empowering each other.
8.Staff have the capability and flexibility of handling and juggling the multiplicity of activities and demands occurring in the group setting.
9.Staff convey a vibrant energy that attracts members and enables both staff and members to do lots of things well.

SKILLS:
1.Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation counseling principles including strength-based treatment planning, and community integration.
2.Knowledge and understanding of international standards of clubhouses, and the ability to apply them to daily activities of the clubhouse.
3.Knowledge of community resources, including education, employment, and social supports.
4.Knowledge of, and sensitivity to, trauma, gender, ethnic and other cultural factors that affect persons served, and how they influence treatment planning and practices.
5.A commitment to working with persons with mental disorders and chemical dependency, as well as to the goals of the organization.
6.Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare client reports.
7.Word processing, spreadsheet, database and internet skills.
8.Ability to drive clients in a van.
9.Strong communication skills: written, verbal, training and listening, as well as interpersonal skills.
10.Ability to work with clients in individual and group modality.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education:Associate Degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, or Special Education fields.
Licensure: None
Experience: Minimum of one-year experience in a psychosocial or psychiatric rehabilitation program serving persons with psychiatric or mental disorders.

Must pass a background check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
