About the Team
The outpatient clinic in Wasilla is a multi-disciplinary team that collaborates to provide comprehensive behavioral healthcare services to children, families, and adults experiencing mental health challenges or life stressors.
What You’ll Do
Peer Support
- Provide support to individuals who may require frequent additional support in recovery and wellness services.
- Contribute to assessments, service planning, individual and group skill building, crisis management, and rehab services.
- Work collaboratively with the team to help clients navigate and obtain services.
Family Navigator
- Act as a role model for caregivers of clients, inspiring hope and sharing life experiences.
- Mentor treatment processes and demonstrate coping skills, self-help strategies, and problem-solving skills.
- Identify and assess recovery persons’ abilities and strengths, assisting caregivers in learning advocacy skills.
Good To Know
- Position: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
- Location: Wasilla, Alaska
- Pay Range: $19.23 to $24.89 per hour, depending on experience.

What We Need from You
- Personal life experience in recovery from mental illness, substance abuse, and/or co-occurring disorders, or personal life experience in caring for a child with mental illness or traumatic experiences. You must be comfortable sharing your personal life experiences.
- One to two years of volunteer experience in mental health, substance abuse, or childcare fields.
- Willingness to become Peer Certified as part of your initial onboarding.
