Job Description
As a Peer Specialist / Mentor, you will:
- Listen to, support, and partner with people who are moving forward in their recovery
- Offer perspective from your own experience
- Help people connectwith each other and in the community
Certified Peer Specialists (CPS), if youve not already been certified, you may obtain CPS certification while on the job. Recovery Coaches, you have worked with people who are either in substance use recovery or who are exploring ways to end substance use; and certification as a Recovery Coach would be a big plus. And Family Specialists, youre experts at helping people manage crises as they arise, and are familiar with navigating the system to help a loved one. Since each of these roles involves driving across a fairly wide territory, you will also need to have a valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle.
