What We Are Looking For
The role of the Peer Recovery Support Specialist is vital in providing peer mentorship, personal encouragement, and promotes self-advocacy for mothers who use or have used opioids or stimulants. This position involves commuting between campus and community sites to engage with women enrolled in the EMPOWERED program. Responsibilities include delivering Recovery Support, facilitating linkage to care activities such as medical care, parenting classes, assessing medical insurance eligibility, and offering referrals to medication-assisted therapy.
