SalaryOverview:
BronxCare Health System is a large community hospital serving the South Bronx. The Department of Pediatrics includes a pediatric ED, inpatient unit, PICU, newborn nursery, level 3 NICU and 4 OPD clinics. As an academic center, teaching involves our 44 residents, as well as medical students. The department has an active research agenda as well as multiple grant- funded programs. We are affiliated with Levy School of Medicine of Mount Sinai Hospital and offer academic appointments appropriate to academic credentials.
We offer a competitive compensation package (Salary 185-200K) and CME support. Benefits include robust health insurance, retirement package, life insurance, disability insurance, CME funding and a generous vacation and CME schedule. Responsibilities:Providing care to children and adolescents from birth through 21 years of age at our ambulatory care sites.

Precepting of residents and medical students.- Weekend nursery coverage on a rotating schedule.
- Phone call coverage on a rotating schedule.
- Participation in the department’s academic agenda including Grand Rounds, M&M conference, QI, and resident and medical student didactics.
- The opportunity to mentor resident research projects.
- Implement curriculum for third year clerkship students from affiliated medical schools and design curricular components as appropriate.
- Orient students to the clerkship, provide periodic feedback, and submit final grades in a timely manner.
- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development sessions at the affiliated medical schools.

Qualifications:
Completion of Residency-Residency Program (Pediatrics) required.
New York State Licensed with Board or Certification in Pediatrics.
