SAFREST Resources has partnered with a growing community health service provider serving a wide and diverse patient base in Palm Bay, FL. This is an opportunity for an experienced pediatrician to join a Federally Qualified Health Center and make a profound difference in the delivery of primary care to the community.
POSITION SUMMARYWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pediatrician to provide primary care and preventative wellness services in the Palm Bay community through the primary care medical home model. Under the Chief Executive Officer’s supervision and in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer and clinical/front support team, the physician provides extraordinary patient care through agency clinics.
GENERAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics from an accredited medical school.
- Board certified within 2 years of completion of residency in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics.
- Clear and active Florida medical license
- Active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license
- 3 years of experience as a practicing physician preferred; experience in a primary health care environment, community health center or Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) preferred
- Current BLS/CPR or comparable training completed through licensure or certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
- Proficient in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and ailments. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures.
Delivery of Medical Care
- Provides direct patient care to patients. Prescribes or administers treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
- Provides oversight of delivery of medical care at the assigned clinic with the support of the Clinical Manager and executive clinical team. Serves as a mentor and manages the resolution of practice related problems at assigned clinic.
- Provides professional oversight for any advanced practice nurses assigned at clinical location of practice.
- Serves in rotation for after-hours call system.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Participation in Quality Medical Care
- Participates in Quality Improvement Activities.
- Participates in utilization and risk management activities.
- Participates in review of patient satisfaction surveys and in resolving patient complaints.
