FULL-TIME COMPENSATION:
- $85,000 to $90,000 Base Salary, negotiable depending on experience

This non-profit was founded in the 1970s and, over the last five decades, has evolved into a robust, compassionate organization serving the area’s most vulnerable residents. They have regularly added services, sites, and team members, currently offering pediatrics, family medicine, and women’s healthcare, along with dentistry, optometry, speech pathology, a pharmacy, and more. They boast a team of more than 40 physicians, 6 behavioral health providers, and more than 50 advanced practice providers, along with large teams in other service lines. They are currently hiring due to growth.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The new speech-language pathologist will provide assessment and therapeutic services to patients ages birth to 5 years. The pathologist will be responsible for assessing and providing intervention for communication and swallowing / feeding delays and other disorders with this population.
The duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
- complete initial developmental evaluations with patients ages birth to 5 years
- determine referrals to additional pediatric professionals, if needed
- conduct assessments of speech, language, pragmatic, and swallowing/feeding skills
- develop and implement speech, language, pragmatic, and swallowing/feeding interventions
- provide direct and indirect therapy to improve communication and swallowing/feeding
- collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- provide patient/family statistics as requested
- provide feedback and recommendations to parents and caretakers
- provide training and education for parents and caregivers
- provide home carryover activities to facilitate progress outside of sessions
The practice uses the NexGen EHR.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s Degree, Speech Language Pathology
- Texas license (or eligibility)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence, Speech-Language Pathology
- 2+ years experience working with patients ages birth to 5 years
- experience with autism and use of AAC
- bilingual Spanish / English
