Job Description:
The Clinical Psychologist is a vital member of a multi-disciplinary team composed of psychiatrists, psychologists, nursing, and other disciplines to provide holistic or comprehensive medical and counseling services to patients. They interview patients and give diagnostic tests. Additionally, the Clinical Psychologist provides individual, family or group psychotherapy, and collaborates with the behavioral health team to develop and implement behavior modification programs, with treatment and intervention programs that patients can understand and comply with.
Position Details:
This position will be in the Day Treatment Programs within the Pediatric Behavioral Health Service Line, Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm.. The Clinical Psychologist is a vital member of a multi-disciplinary team composed of psychiatrists, psychologists, nursing, and other disciplines to provide holistic or comprehensive medical and counseling services to patients. They interview patients and give diagnostic tests. Additionally, the Clinical Psychologist provides individual, family or group psychotherapy, and collaborates with the behavioral health team to develop and implement behavior modification programs, with treatment and intervention programs that patients can understand and comply with.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Doctorate degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D) in Psychology. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
  • Current Utah license as a psychologist.
  • Psychologist will adhere to all appropriate standards of practice as outlined by the American Psychological Association, State Licensing Board, and Intermountain Healthcare.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a behavioral health outpatient setting.

Physical Requirements:
Ongoing need for employee to see and assess various nonverbal cues used in patient diagnosis/assessment in order to understand and develop treatment options.
