Pediatric Partners of Virginia is looking for Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (PNP) to join our teams! We are growing and looking for individuals interested in joining our dynamic team.
Our clinics’ care can be extremely busy with routine diagnosis and treatment of various minor illnesses and minor injuries. Providers evaluate and treat patients efficiently and effectively when immediate care is needed and be comfortable assessing pediatrics as young as birth and up to 21 years old. They also must be comfortable in performing procedures in which a local anesthetic may be used. Nurse Practitioners are responsible for working collaborating with physicians, conduct medical examinations, develop a diagnosis, establish treatment plans, provider referrals to specialists, maintaining patient records, maintaining and follow HEDIS and quality measures, and communicating effectively with patients and parents.
Nurse Practitioners must have excellent medical examination and diagnosis skills and the ability to identify patient illnesses and injuries based on a careful assessment of symptoms and excellent bedside manner and feel comfortable discussing medical issues and options with families. Provide direct support to patients by applying treatment to injuries and prescribing medication to resolve illnesses, so they should be highly skilled at deploying a variety of treatment methodologies. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, with the need to assess many factors to arrive at a diagnosis and understand minute interactions that can have significant health effects.
