Pediatric Medicine Nurse (RN) - Bilingual (Spanish)

A healthcare network in New York City is currently seeking a Spanish-speaking, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing Pediatric Medicine team in the Bronx.
About the Opportunity:

• Assignment Length: Ongoing
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 8am to 5pm

Responsibilities:
The Pediatric Medicine Nurse (RN) will:

• Observe patients conditions
• Assess and records symptoms, reactions and progress related to medications and/or vaccinations
• Distribute non-prescription medication as requested by provider
• Assist providers during examinations and treatments
• Triage patients based on acuity
• Administer medications and vaccines
• Check equipment, logs, and medical kits; order supplies, as needed
• Maintain health records by documenting patient contact and updating patient profile
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience working with pediatrics
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and treating the underserved population
• Computer savvy
• Patient oriented
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Outpatient background
