Pediatric Dental Assistant

Pediatric Dental practice is looking for a talented, customer service oriented professional to fill a Dental Assistant opening in our kid friendly practice. Will train on job for the right candidate and provide continuing education!

Job Responsibilities:

• Assists the Dentist during examination and treatment
• Oversees the preparation of exam and surgical rooms
• Prepares sterilized instruments, sets up instrument trays, prepares materials for procedure
• Maintains surgically clean work environment to prevent the spread of infection and diseases
• Ensures dental records are maintained and updated as needed
• Comforts and reassures patients
• Delivers postoperative instructions
• Counsels patients and parents on proper oral hygiene
• Must be exceptional with children
• Must have a strong desire to learn, grow and love working with kids

Required Education/Experience

· High School diploma or equivalent, required

· Minimum two years Dental Assistant experience, preferred

Experience with OpenDental software a plus

Salary: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
