PCA/CNA for In Home Care

We are seeking Personal Care Assistants and CNA's for In-home client care.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Companionship: Offer friendly and empathetic companionship to clients, engaging in conversations, playing games, reading, and providing emotional support to alleviate feelings of loneliness or isolation.
• Activities and Mental Stimulation: Plan and participate in recreational activities that promote cognitive and physical stimulation, such as walks, puzzles, or hobbies, to help maintain mental acuity and physical well-being.
• Daily Living Assistance: Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Transportation (if needed): Provide safe transportation for clients to appointments, social outings, and errands.
• Safety and Monitoring: Ensure the safety of the client by regularly checking on their well-being, addressing potential hazards in the home, and promptly reporting any concerns to family members or supervisors.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, care provided, and changes in the client's condition, reporting updates to relevant parties as necessary.
• Flexibility: Adapt to the specific needs and preferences of each client, understanding that the role may encompass various responsibilities depending on the individual's requirements.
• Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with family members, healthcare professionals, and supervisors to ensure coordinated care and support.
• Respect for Privacy: Uphold the client's privacy and dignity, always treating them with respect and sensitivity.
• Emergency Response: Be prepared to handle emergency situations, such as calling 911 or administering basic first aid, and provide emotional support during crises.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (additional relevant certifications are a plus).
• Experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
• Compassion, patience, and a strong sense of empathy.
• Good communication skills and the ability to establish a rapport with clients.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift and assist with mobility as needed.
• Clear background check and references.
• First aid and CPR certification.
• Understanding of and commitment to client confidentiality and privacy.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of basic household management and meal preparation.
