Pca Personal Care Assistant

Duties:

- Provide Personal Care assistance to individuals in their homes or residential facilities
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Help with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting and transferring techniques
- Support individuals with medication reminders and administration, as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying up living areas and doing laundry
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals, engaging in conversation and recreational activities

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or similar role is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with basic Personal Care techniques and procedures
- Knowledge of proper lifting and transferring techniques to ensure safety and prevent injuries
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions from healthcare professionals
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals who may have physical or cognitive limitations
