Our client, a reputable appliance distributor, is in search of an experienced Payroll Analyst to join their team for a Direct Hire, Hybrid opportunity!
Position: Payroll Analyst
Salary: 60k-85k
Hours: Normal M-F
Schedule: Hybrid 2-3 days onsitel
Team Size: work alongside the payroll manager and report to the Treasurer
Must Haves:
- 4+ years of experience
- Excel skills (pivot tables, v-look ups)
- Multi-state payroll but specifically PA
- Have ran payroll for a similar sized company or larger (350 employees)
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but not required!
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for handling all aspects of company payroll and Payroll Taxes in a confidential environment while using Paycom payroll system. Provide support for employees and managers across all departments, the Payroll and Tax Analyst takes time to understand questions, provides clarity on processes, and seeks new ways to add value.
What you will do in this role:
- Process the following accurately and timely:
- Weekly payroll transactions
- Employee time and attendance data from TLO to payroll system
- Participate in year-end payroll tasks (tax rate changes, W-2s, etc.)
- Set-up new employees in Paycom and verify tax setup
- Reconcile wide range of personnel actions and payroll documents
- Perform payroll verifications and certifications as needed
- Work with employees and managers to resolve questions
- Process certified payroll reports and ad hoc reports on demand
- Performs set up of state taxes and other state-specific accounts for operating companies.
- Reconciles any tax discrepancies with employees, states & local agencies and the Paycom system.
- Maintain department confidentiality
- 401K reconciliation of payroll changes and deduction submission to Empower
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
What we look for in a candidate:
- Bachelors degree in Business/Accounting and 5 years of payroll experience
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) a plus
- Knowledge of general accounting principles
- Advanced data analysis skills, including strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential information
- Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills
- Self-starter capable of working independently and as a member of a team
