This position will call for a variety of duties, including data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. A candidate should be able to effectively communicate with both internal team members and outside customers as part of this dynamic, fast-growing team. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is based in the Colorado Springs, Colorado area and is a long-term contract / temporary employment role.
What you get to do every single day
- Construct and run custom reports
- Distribute and administer reports as instructed
- Craft and deliver training to employees on the use of proper payroll practices, including timesheet entry and online methods of accessing pay statements
- Correspond with employees via email and phone to garner approvals on timesheets
- Perform basic clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc
- Fill in data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
- Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system- Accurate, swift, data entry abilities
- Previous payroll experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong organization skills
- Skilled in Payroll software
- Enthusiasm when it comes to learning new systems and ideas
- Microsoft Excel experience preferred
- Foundational knowledge in multi-state payroll
- Demonstrated knowledge of Nonprofit Organizations
- Payroll for over 500 employees experience
- Adeptness in numeric data entry
- Experience with IRS W-2 Forms
- Comprehensive knowledge of Infor
