Location: We are seeking a Payroll Assistant / Cash Room Cashier - Part Time for the Music City Center located in Nashville, TN.

Principal Function:

The Payroll Assistant / Cash Room Cashier - Part Time is a highly trusted position which exists in Sodexo Live! businesses where a significant volume of cash transactions are processed within a compressed period of time, such a sporting or events arena. Typically transferred to the role after gaining experience in Quick Serve operations, the Cash Room Cashier will support Sodexo Live!'s goal to be #1 in Event Hospitality by upholding standards for handling cash.

They will perform a variety of operational and accounting functions in support of internal customer service and the safe, accurate and efficient management of the unit's cash assets. The Cash Room Cashier will pickup, sort and count cash, will deliver and retrieve cashier banks, will prepare vault drops and will post transactions to appropriate accounts, as directed by the Cash Room Supervisor and/or Unit Controller.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Maximize Sodexo Live!'s revenue and operational excellence through proper execution of Sodexo Live! cash handling practices and procedures.
• Provide outstanding service to internal Sodexo Live! customers.
• Ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.
• Contribute to goal of making Sodexo Live! #1 in Event Hospitality and the #1 Employer of Choice through personal commitment.

Qualifications/Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and effectively implement written and verbal instructions.
• Strong team orientation and ability to work with a variety of departments to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations, to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to utilize a calculator, change counters and manually count and accurately make change for transactions involving large sums of money.
• Ability to work well independently.
• Ability to work well in a high stress, fast paced environment.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used by guests who typically visit the work location.
• Technology aptitude for working with POS and digital register.
• Strong skills for providing guest service with keen ability to connect easily with customers.
• Scheduling flexibility to meet operational needs.

Other Requirements:

• Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.

Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
