Job Description
The Payroll Administrator will manage employee payroll for our operating business units using the Workday (HRIS system) and UKG (Kronos Workforce Central timekeeping system).
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently process nine weekly and bi-weekly payrolls across five business units, covering both unionized and non-union employees.
- Evaluate incoming payroll data, encompassing time and attendance, garnishments, benefits, and tax adjustments, ensuring accuracy.
- Validate both input and output of payroll, including the generation of W2s within the Workday system.
- Address and troubleshoot routine pay processing and timekeeping issues within Workday and UKG/Kronos.
- Compile reports and reconcile payroll payments with third-party providers.
Qualifications:
- Hold a payroll certification, with a minimum of five years of experience in a dynamic, high-paced payroll team, or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
- Possess a solid understanding of payroll and time and attendance systems; prior experience with Workday and UKG/Kronos is preferred.
- Familiarity with state and federal regulations, payroll legislation, collective agreements, benefits plans, and accounting principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with managers and employees to understand and process payroll information.
- Capable of working under tight deadlines while ensuring the accuracy of payroll data.
