Payroll Administrator

The Waldinger Corporation, a growing Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Sheet Metal industry leader, is adding a full-time Payroll Administrator to our team! The Payroll Administrator will aid our Human Resources team in both the inputting and maintaining of employees in our payroll systems. Our ideal candidate is someone that has expansive knowledge of payroll and accounting functions and is looking to grow their expertise within the company.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for inputting and ensuring integrity of the data recorded in the payroll system while performing various accounting-related tasks.
• Reviews timesheets, the computation of pay, and associated deductions for accuracy.
• Responsible for accurate preparation, documentation, distribution, and reconciliation of payroll.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of city, state, local and federal legislation affecting payroll and understands and follows applicable provisions. Prepares required tax filings and other reporting.
• Responds to and resolve any inquiries regarding paychecks or payroll reporting. Ensures payroll issues are escalated and resolved promptly.

Requirements:

• Associate degree in accounting or a related field
• 3 years in a payroll position, preferably in a multi-state organization
• Excellent customer service skills
• Have both an eye for detail and an analytical mindset
• Possess great initiative and ability to problem solve independently
