Position: Payroll Admin Clerk
Reports To: Payroll Manager
As a Payroll Admin Clerk, your main responsibility is to assist in managing and processing the payroll for employees within the organization. Your tasks may include:
1. Collecting and verifying timesheets or attendance records.
2. Calculating and entering employee hours, overtime, bonuses, and other compensation.
3. Ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies, employment laws, and regulations.
4. Reviewing and reconciling payroll reports for accuracy before processing payments.
5. Processing payroll on a regular schedule, including generating paychecks or direct deposits.
6. Addressing employee inquiries regarding payroll, tax deductions, and other related matters.
7. Maintaining employee records and updating information as necessary.
8. Assisting in the preparation of payroll-related reports, such as tax filings and year-end summaries.
9. Collaborating with the HR department and other stakeholders to ensure accurate employee data.
10. Keeping up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and best practices.
To excel in this role, you should have strong attention to detail, excellent mathematical skills, and a thorough understanding of payroll processes and regulations. Additionally, proficiency in using payroll software and familiarity with accounting principles may be required. Effective communication and problem-solving skills are also important when dealing with employee inquiries and resolving payroll-related issues.
