Form of work American Hardwood Industries, located in Waynesboro, VA is seeking a Payroll/Accounting Clerk. Accounting knowledge, reconciliation skills, and software proficiency are key requirements to be successful in this position.
Responsibilities include processing payroll and all general ledger entries, monthly closing activities, payroll election setup, garnishments, and payroll reports. Knowledge of labor laws is highly recommended. Computer skills are important and proficiency in Microsoft Office software, with a heavy emphasis on Excel, is required. Communication skills are also important as this position works with various departments and locations within the Company as well as external auditors.
An Associate's Degree in accounting or a minimum of four years experience working with a computerized accounting system is required. Qualified candidates having experience working in a manufacturing environment a plus.
