Position: Payments & Deposit Operations Manager
Job Overview
The Payments & Deposit Operations Manager will be responsible for relationship development, service culture and account operations for Metropolitan Capital Bank. The Payments and Deposit Operations Manager will be responsible for the development and support of treasury products, client requests and onboarding. Leads and executes on a customer first culture while always maintaining vigilance on the compliance and risk appetite of the Bank.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational support for Deposits and Payments business line, including policies and procedures for new account onboarding and superior client experience tactics.
- Develop training that provides an extraordinary customer experience and service culture.
- Recommendation of strategic initiatives that produce consistent delivery of competitive treasury and Deposit products and services.
- Develop and implement deposit and payments strategy programs and performance standards that effectively support the Bank’s profitability and growth.
- Continuously innovate and evolve the bank’s digital banking experience in pursuit of exceptional broad capability and ease-of-use.
- Remain abreast of current legal, regulatory, and other compliance requirements.
- Lead the account operations back-office deposit functions including account processing and issue resolutions.
- Manage, coach, and develop direct reports. Conduct annual performance reviews, mid-year check ins and career path development conversations.
- When servicing accounts, prepares required documentation for client new account requests, and works with clients and commercial bankers to provide required documentation for treasury services.
- Open new accounts, perform account maintenance and assist clients with digital products.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the banks operating systems.
- Learn about all products and services available, including features and options.
- Recognize potential fraud and other risks.
- Support on-line banking and password resets. Also assists with audits, gathering requested information for review.
- Develops and conducts training on Treasury and Deposit products.
- Promote an environment that provides an extraordinary customer experience with a strong relationship development and service culture.

Qualifications
- 7+ years of bank operations and new account experience.
- BA degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in all deposits and payments functions.
- Expert skills in staff management and development, relationship development, business, and solution development.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all state and federal regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organization, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent computer knowledge and ability (Windows, Word, Excel, core banking systems, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail oriented and highly organized.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines.
