Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 21 years of age. Valid driver's license required and insurable through University's auto insurance policy. USA citizenship at time of appointment. Certified under the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training Police Officer's Professional Standard (P.O.P.S.) program and a police academy recognized and approved by the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training (DOCJT). To be eligible for appointment candidates cannot have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor domestic violence crime as set forth in 18 U.S.C. & 992 (g) (8) and (9). The selection process includes successful completion of a written examination, oral interviews, drug screening test, physical examination and psychological evaluation and comprehensive background investigation. Certified or eligible for the DOCJT Intermediate Law Enforcement Officer Certification.
Position Description:
To provide general law enforcement services to the University community, including participation in Community Oriented Policing programs and including the patrolling of all University property, protecting life and preventing damage to property Identification and prosecution of persons who commit crimes; and general enforcement of State and Federal laws and University policies and procedures.
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
