Job Title: Patient Transporter

Location: Stanford

Shift: Monday to Friday

Hourly Range: $25 - $32 per hour

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Patient Transporter to join our esteemed hospital system in Stanford. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patients from their respective floors to the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in a courteous and compassionate manner.

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport patients between hospital departments, with a focus on transporting from floor to PACU.
• Ensure patients are comfortable and secure during transportation, addressing any concerns or questions with a cordial demeanor.
• Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to coordinate patient transfers, adhering to established protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of transport equipment.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families during the transportation process.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Patient transport experience is preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to transport patients in a healthcare setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
• Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic healthcare environment.
• Flexibility to work Monday to Friday shifts.
• Experience with utilizing transport equipment such as stretchers, wheelchairs, and gurneys.

Familiarity with other transport equipment, including but not limited to:

• Hydraulic lifts
• Ambulance cots
• Bedside commodes
• Patient transfer boards
• Wheeled stretchers
• Transfer belts
