Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate individual to join our team as a Patient Transportation. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients from our inpatient and outpatient facilities. Your primary goal will be to ensure the comfort and well-being of patients during their transportation.
Duties:
- Safely transport patients to and from their personal homes, other facilities, to and from MeadowWood Behavioral, and as needed locations for pick up/drop off.
- Assist patients with entering and exiting transportation vehicles, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Follow established protocols for Patient Transportation, including the use of appropriate equipment and techniques
- Communicate effectively with healthcare staff and the transportation supervisor to coordinate Patient Transportation needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of transportation equipment
- Adhere to infection control protocols to prevent the spread of germs and maintain a safe environment for patients
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service role is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients
