What You Will Do:
As a Patient Sitter, your primary responsibility is to provide continuous 1:1 monitoring and observation of patients to ensure their safety. Your duties include:
Remaining with the patient at all times, either in person or through video monitoring.
Following established guidelines and protocols to maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
Reporting any changes in the patient's condition or behavior to nursing staff promptly.
Assisting with patient needs such as ambulation, toileting, and feeding under the direction of nursing personnel.
Engaging patients in therapeutic and diversional activities to promote comfort and well-being.
Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Adhering to hospital policies and procedures related to patient care, safety, and security.
Participating in emergency drills and responding appropriately to emergencies.
Performing other duties as assigned by supervisory staff.
Work Schedule:
Shifts may range from 8 to 12 hours per day, including weekends based on individual unit needs.
Flexibility to cover absences by rotating or working extra shifts is required.
Personnel may be assigned to one area upon employment but may be required to assume assignments in other areas to meet patient needs.

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be 18 years or older.
Previous hospital/patient care experience preferred.
BLS certification required; must obtain within 90 days of hire.
