Patient Services Representative

Busy medical office seeking full-time Patient Services Representative with strong front office skills coupled with some back-office experience. Primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage the front desk and patient intake. Duties will include (but are not limited to): scheduling appointments, patient check-in/out, pre-certs, insurance verification, answering patient questions, answering phones, assisting with referrals, scanning patient information, collecting patient co-payments and deductibles, communicating with the doctor/vendors/hospital/other providers, and assisting in the clinical back office if and when needed (checking vitals/rooming patients). Must be computer literate, understand math, and have strong written and oral communication skills. Must have some experience with a practice management system (e-clinical preferred). Work experience should demonstrate that you are dependable and reliable.

Work schedule is Monday - Friday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM with an hour for lunch (lunch is unpaid). Potential for advancement within the company for stellar work performance, doing the bare minimum will not cut it. Minimum of three years (3) experience in a doctor's office (specifically) required, along with proof of certification, background check, and drug screen. Looking for extremely organized, efficient, kind, and professional person with a patient-focused attitude, who understands patient privacy and security rules (HIPAA). We are seeking a jack of all trades who is willing to jump in when and where needed as this is a small office, and someone with fresh ideas (no need to apply if not willing to do this).
