Patient Service Representative

Welcome Health is a medical group providing best in class care to older adults in the comfort of their own home, both in person and through telehealth and emerging digital health technology. Grounded in the underutilized science and art of geriatric medicine, we seek to remove the barriers that older adults face in their pursuit of what matters most to them. We seek a Patient Services representative (PSR) to support the fulfillment of Welcome Health’s mission to transform care delivery for all older people.

What you will do?

• Answer phones and guide patients by respectfully talking them through the steps and addressing their questions and concerns
• Schedule patient appointments
• Perform patient registration and insurance verification, including ensuring the required patient forms are complete prior to the patient visit
• Follow up with patients regarding upcoming appointments, annual wellness exams, or with new patients simply inquiring about Welcome Health
• Update patient demographics and insurance information
• Check-in and check-out patients for in-office visits
• Coordinate medical records request
• May assist with referrals and medical authorizations
• Participate in various projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management

What we are looking for?

• Experience in a healthcare environment working directly with patients
• Multi-phone line and/or multi-channel experience
• Ability to type 35 wpm or more
• Data entry experience
• Prior experience working with older adults (65+) is strongly preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Basic proficiency in MS office products; prior experience using Athena is a plus
• Fluency in Spanish or other languages (e.g., Korean, Tagalog, Mandarin, etc.) is highly desirable
• US work authorization

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour
