Patient Registration Specialist
Position available in Middletown, Ohio
Hours are 4:30am to 12:30pm M-F and every other Saturday from 5am to 9am

Base starting wage: $17.00 per hour

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Greets patients and visitors and creates a welcoming environment.
  • Verifies patient demographic information and reviews all forms for accuracy and completeness.
  • Enter new patients into the electronic health record and complete registration process.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and enter payor information into the health record.
  • Assist patients with application for Medicaid eligibility if as needed.
  • Explains forms, services and processes to patients and family members.
  • Schedules and coordinates patient and provider appointments
  • Accepts payments for services, checks-in patients, and answers phone call inquiries.
  • Responds to inquiries about programs and services and provides education.
  • Collaborates and communicates effectively with an interdisciplinary treatment team and referral sources for the coordination of care.
  • Collects patient data for continuous quality improvement and reporting purposes.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license, car insurance, and insurable driving record required
  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned service area
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Related experience or training with behavioral health conditions
