$1500 Sign-On Bonus for External Candidates

They are a nonprofit system with over 200 providers at more than 20 locations, 3 outpatient facilities, a certified medical fitness facility, a surgical weight loss center and the Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center. This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM including the flexibility to work rotational Saturday shifts between 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM based on business need. Our offices are located at the following:

  • 2200 E Parrish Ave, Owensboro, KY, 42303
  • 811 E Parrish Ave, Owensboro, KY, 42303
  • 1006 Ford Ave, Owensboro, KY 42301

We offer 8 weeks of paid training. The hours of training will be based on your schedule during normal business hours or will be discussed on your first day of employment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients
  • Coordinate patient flow to reduce wait times
  • Assist patients with intake processes
  • Collect co - payments, co - insurance, and deductibles
  • Process walk-in patients and visitors
  • Schedules appointment times using computerized scheduling programs
  • May communicate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure availability of facilities and staff
  • Communicates with patients and / or their families to provide necessary pre - procedure instructions and / or to confirm appointments
  • Performs insurance verification and / or pre - authorizations as necessary
  • May be responsible for managing the referral work queue, entering patient demographic information, and scanning documents into an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
  • May correspond with referring providers and / or patients for reports, information exchange, scheduling, x - rays, and paperwork
  • May provide administrative support for Physicians or Nurse Practitioners

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Ability to work onsite at all the following locations:
    • 2200 E Parrish Ave, Owensboro, KY, 42303
    • 811 E Parrish Ave, Owensboro, KY, 42303
    • 1006 Ford Ave, Owensboro, KY 42301
  • Ability to work any shift between the hours of 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM from Monday - Friday including the flexibility to work rotational Saturday shifts between 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM based on business need
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of related work experience, including data entry
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • Working knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology
