Hours: Schedule: M-F 8am-4:30pm, ½ hr lunch

Job Description:
Patient Check-In & Check-Out Responsibilities:
Answer incoming telephone calls and manage patient appointment scheduling (initial and return).
Verify insurance information, create new patient charts, and maintain accurate patient records
Scan and file patient documents, ensuring completeness and accuracy of information.
Manage incoming phone calls, ensuring timely completion of all assigned tasks.
Administrative Support:
Provide administrative support for closing patient visits, including obtaining insurance authorization and offering financial counseling.
Post over-the-counter (OTC) payments and ensure timely completion of all assigned tasks.
Conduct daily document research using an electronic health/medical record system.
Coordinate with clinical staff to manage in-progress services.
Review and manage incoming documents, tasking them to appropriate parties for outstanding requests.
Billing Responsibilities:
Review charge information for accuracy according to payer requirements and make corrections as needed.
Resolve claim edits, rejections, and denials; perform voids and corrections as necessary.
Submit clean and accurate claims, ensuring completion of required patient chart elements.
Timely completion of all assigned tasks.
Review and respond to reports to ensure claims are processed within timely filing limits.
Collections:
Timely completion of all assigned tasks related to accounts receivable.
Maintain company-mandated collection standards.
Assist in resolving outstanding invoice problems from past due accounts.
Respond to inquiries from customers or external collection resources, including making calls or sending messages to those with unresolved issues.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.
Prior experience in Patient Registration, medical billing, and collections.
Familiarity with electronic health/medical record systems.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
